Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation technique used to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.
It is not a hair removal treatment, it is not performed for cosmetic enhancement, and it is not suitable for all skin types and concerns.
This is a professional skin tool that is only used where appropriate and will never be selected as a client choice.
When incorporated into a facial, it is used as the sole exfoliation method and cannot be combined with other exfoliating or abrasive techniques.
How it works:
Dermaplaning is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that involves gently exfoliating the skin using a sterile, surgical blade. This technique removes dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the surface of the skin.
Blade Application: A sterile, surgical blade is gently glided across the skin at a 45-degree angle. This removes the top layer of dead skin cells and vellus hair.
Post-Treatment Care: The skin is typically soothed with a calming mask or moisturiser.
Benefits:
Smoother Skin Texture: Removes dead skin cells, revealing a smoother, more radiant complexion.
Improved Product Absorption: Exfoliated skin better absorbs skincare products, enhancing their effectiveness.
Vellus Hair Removal: Removes peach fuzz, resulting in a smoother appearance.

Dermaplaning Treatment application
Dermaplaning may be used within the Balance Ritual, The Deep Restoration Experience, and Cellstory treatments where appropriate.
All dermaplaning is subject to skin assessment on the day and will not be performed if not suitable.
